Dr. Mortimore is a pioneer and leader in personalized, learner-centered learning, as well as administrative leadership, organizational development, and change management. Camille was the Founder and Head Learner of an expeditionary, project-based public charter school in Milwaukee’s central city. She has served as superintendent and principal for more than two decades and has extensive experience as an elementary, middle, and high school teacher, parent educator, corporate and higher education instructor, and consultant. In her role as Foundry’s Chief Learning Officer, Camille focuses on integrating effective personalized learning research and practice into Foundry. She works with schools and districts innovating Deeper Learning, building powerful partnerships to enhance teacher and student performance, and guiding the implementation of personalized, inquiry-based, and evidence-based learning such as PBL and CBE. Camille has earned a Ph.D. in Education Policy and Leadership and an M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Marquette University and is a proud wife, mom, grandma, doodle mom, avid gardener, artist, and life-long learner.
Dr. James Rickabaugh serves as Senior Advisor at the Institute for Personalized Learning, an education innovation lab dedicated to the transformation of public education. The Institute serves more than 60 school districts across Wisconsin and several other states. Dr. Rickabaugh formerly served as Director of the Institute for Personalized learning. He served as Superintendent of the Whitefish Bay Schools, Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District, and Oconomowoc Area School District. He also served as Midwest Regional President for Voyager Expanded Learning.
Dr. Rickabaugh was Wisconsin Superintendent of the Year in 2008 and Minnesota Superintendent of the Year in 1996. He received the Excellence in Educational Leadership Award in 2005 from the University Council for Educational Administration, a lifetime achievement award from the Master Teacher in 2010, and the Aurora Institute Contribution to the Field award in 2016. Dr. Rickabaugh is the author of Tapping the Power of Personalized Learning: A Roadmap for School Leaders focused on helping principals and other educational leaders to engage their staff in designing and implementing personalized learning ecosystems. Jim also is a co-author of Five Levers To Improve Learning: How To Prioritize For Powerful Results In Your School. Dr. Rickabaugh serves on the board of the Wisconsin Education Business Roundtable He also provides support and consultation to several other organizations and agencies.
Architect Wilson is a leader in architectural collaborative design and for quality building and student engagement in Wisconsin, including Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, Alumni Park at UW-Madison, and Milwaukee Youth Art Center. After graduating from SARUP UW-Milwaukee in 1978, Del embarked on a 40-year career in Architecture. Having gained his license to practice in 1982, he is a member of The American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Del practiced with local firms until joining David Uihlein’s practice in 1991. At Uihlein-Wilson Architects Del served as Partner in Charge, for Wisconsin projects of civic purpose. Focused on education and public libraries he led projects using a collaborative and consensus-based working style. Representative projects included Shannon Theater at Memorial Union, and, Milwaukee Youth Arts Center, Basilica of St Josaphat, Fr. Carney Theater at Pius XI High School, Children’s Room at Milwaukee Public Library, and the Warch Campus Center at Lawrence University. His community service includes past President of the Nicolet High School Foundation, past Board Chair of YMCA Camp Minikani Board of Managers, past member of the Design Review Board in the Village of Fox Point, and member of the Advisory Board of Alumni Park. After retiring from Practice in 2017, Del joined the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center as its first Executive Director and led the organization through a major renovation and expansion until 2022. He currently serves on the MYAC Board of Directors.
Attorney Schaalman specializes in securities litigation at Gass Turek, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and has served as board president of the Academy of Learning and Learning and Leadership, and t of the Milwaukee Jewish Day School.
Michael Schaalman has had a long career trying business and securities cases at a national firm, Quarles & Brady (1977-2014), and a local Milwaukee firm, Halling & Cayo. Mr. Schaalman was a partner at both firms and lead the securities litigation practice at Quarles & Brady. He has tried jury cases and bench trials in several states, including California, New York, Indiana and Wisconsin. He represents a diverse client base including a Fortune 100 manufacturing/technology firm, regional broker-dealers and brokers, hedge funds, and victims of securities fraud.
Michael graduated from Grinnell College in 1970 with a B.A. in History and received his Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University School of Law. He was a fellow in the Program in Law and the Social Sciences and received an M.A. in American Legal History in 1975, He was a member of the editorial board of the Northwestern Law Review.
